The Middle Concho Soil and Water Conservation District is a political
subdivision of the government of the State of Texas responsible for
coordinating and administering the conservation activities within the
district.  
 Our purpose is to promote soil and water conservation in
Irion, Reagan, and Upton
Counties of Texas. The district’s board of
directors meets monthly to confer on the conservation issues and
needs of the district. The district assists farmers and ranchers through
voluntary programs and receives assistance from the federal
government to accomplish their objectives. Districts also conduct other
activities to bring about widespread understanding of soil and water
conservation and to inform the public of the need to conserve soil,
water and related natural resources.

The Middle Concho Soil & Water Conservation District comprises all the
land in Upton, Reagan, and Irion Counties, approximately 2,432, 027 acres.
The Middle Concho SWCD is one of the 217 SWCDs in Texas. The District
lies in State Area Two as designated by the Texas State Soil and Water
Conservation Board
